About the house
Vila Melina is our family's house in Sarajevo, set up for groups who travel together. The whole house is yours — six bedrooms, a wide living room, and a kitchen and dining area big enough to seat everyone at once. Instead of splitting across three or four apartments around the city, the whole group sleeps under one roof.
The house sleeps up to 16 people in 16 beds, which makes it equally suited to wedding parties, sports teams, family reunions, work trips, and diaspora families coming home to visit.
You'll also have a fully equipped kitchen with oven, stovetop, microwave and kettle, a bright living area big enough for everyone at once, and a washing machine that makes longer stays easy.

Facilities
Who the house suits
Weddings and wedding parties
The couple and their closest guests in one place, with enough bathrooms for everyone to get ready on time and parking for the whole convoy.
Sports teams
The full squad under one roof, a kitchen for preparing meals, a washing machine, and parking for a minibus or several cars.
Family reunions and diaspora visits
A house for a large family visiting Sarajevo — every branch of the family gets its own ensuite room, and everyone gathers in the living room.
Work trips and off-sites
A quiet neighbourhood, fast internet and shared space to work in, sixteen minutes from the airport.
Location
The house is in Dobroševići, a quiet neighbourhood in the Novi Grad municipality on the north-western side of Sarajevo. It is not in the centre — deliberately. A group arriving in a minibus or several cars parks in its own yard, with no one-way streets, no paid parking and none of the old-town crush.
By car: Ilidža and Vrelo Bosne 8 km (about 13 minutes), Sarajevo International Airport 10 km (about 16 minutes), Baščaršija and the city centre 15 km (about 25 minutes). The motorway and main road are close by, so day trips towards Mostar or the mountains are straightforward.
For groups this trade works well: spend the day in the city, and the evening in a house where all 16 of you fit around the same table.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can stay at Vila Melina?
The house sleeps up to 16 guests across six bedrooms, with 16 beds in total. It is rented as a whole house only, not by the room.
Does every bedroom have its own bathroom?
Yes. All six bedrooms have a private bathroom and their own air conditioning, which is unusual for a house of this size in Sarajevo.
How far is the house from the airport?
Sarajevo International Airport is 10 km (about 16 minutes) away by car, depending on traffic.
Is the house close to the centre of Sarajevo?
The house is in Dobroševići, in the Novi Grad municipality. Baščaršija and the centre are 15 km (about 25 minutes) away by car. It is not a house you walk into the old town from, but the drive is short and predictable, and you have parking at the door.
Is there parking?
Yes — free private parking for five or more vehicles, inside the property.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome.
Is the house suitable for weddings and sports teams?
It is. The number of bathrooms, the size of the shared space and the parking make it well suited to wedding parties, sports teams, off-sites and larger family gatherings.
